Bob Watson = Massive Tool

Yankee Bob Watson, MLB’s VP of Rules, On-Field Operations and Douchebaggery, is at it again. He’s going to enforce what he calls the ‘Terry Francona Rule’ next season, requiring manager’s to wear their jersey top instead of the fleece long-sleeved tops that Francona, and other skippers like Mike Scioscia, wear.
“There’s going to be, for lack of a better term, a ‘Francona Rule,’” said Bob Watson, Major League Baseball’s Vice President of Rules and On-Field Operations. “You can only wear your uniform top or jacket. You can’t wear your night-shirt, or whatever it is. You can wear it before games, or after games, but not during games. You have to have your uniform top at all times.”
This is retarded on a lot of levels, not the least of which is that Francona wears the fleece tops because he has documented circulation problems and likes to layer up, especially during the chillier night games. But way to go Bob Watson, you’ve managed to make subtle jabs at one of the nicest guys in baseball and managed to make a mountain out of a completely insignificant molehill. Again. Shouldn’t you be preparing for the Mitchell Report or figuring out how you can hand out more unnecessarily long suspensions that are automatically reduced when players appeal?
