<description>'"We'll see how it goes, but this is not an act. It's not a bluff. It's just reality," [Steinbrenner] said. "Because as much as I want Santana, and you can make that clear -- for his sake, to know that I do want him -- but the fact is that I'm not going to play the game. We've made them the best offer. And at this point, it's not going to get any better. So they can decide. At this point, it's up to them. I don't think they want to lose us in this thing, obviously. Nobody wants to lose the Yankees in a negotiation."'

What a cocky douchenozzle, pardon my French. First of all, yes, it is a bluff, and everyone knows it. Second, the Twins probably won't mind "losing" you because the Sox offer is arguably better. Third, unbridled arrogance is not an attractive trait. The holier-than-thou shit is just amazingly ironic; like the Yankees have ever followed negotiating etiquette, if there is such a thing (there's probably not). Finally, I love how he slips in the love note to Santana: "Hey baby, just ignore all this adult stuff, it's all talk, we'll still pay you $120 million dollars. XOXO Hank."

God, I hope the Twins just tell them to shove it (and that's not just because I want the ace of the Neo-Cons in red socks).

Oh, and here's &lt;a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3138748" rel="nofollow"&gt;the link for that quote&lt;/a&gt;.</description>
