Dominican Umps Are the Worst, Dawg
I know this is really hard to believe, but Elijah Dukes is in trouble again — this time for bumping an umpire in the Dominican Winter League. Maybe high-maintenance Delmon Young wasn’t so bad after all Rays? I mean Delmon is just kind of spoiled and has a bad temper. If throwing a bat at an umpire is the worst thing Young does, then I’m imagining Dukes’ worst confrontation with a major league umpire would end with him biting Laz Diaz in the jugular.
I can envisage Dukes bludgeoning an ump to death with his bat, or perhaps chasing down a rude fan, or tackling an opposing pitcher. Actually, I can easily envisage Dukes committing pretty much any violent act.
