Guess What!? The BBWAA Is Still Stupid
I got stuck on RoY duty (obviously), while the Millers got the first story about masturbation. Yea. Real fair. I’ll keep this brief. Troy Tulowitzki got hosed. I know what you’re thinking.

Well, hey, 12 readers of this blog, the writers once again displayed no knowledge of what value is, what the impact of defense is or what positional scarcity means. Let’s look at some dorky saber numbers:

| R. Braun | 57.2 | .326 | 3.9 | 22 |
| T. Tulowitzki | 37.8 | .280 | 8.5 | 25 |
VORP and EqA are both numbers that only take into account hitting. WARP and Win Shares both account for defense. Ryan Braun sucks at being a third baseman. Troy Tulowitzki is really good at being a shortstop. And Tulo played an entire season. Defense plus playing an entire season makes Tulo>Braun. Depending on which metric you use, Tulo was 20-40 runs better.
